James Haunt mural at the US Open of Surfing 2012 (wknd 2 – photo recap)

James Haunt and company headed back out for weekend two of the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach to knock out the second of two 16′ x 8′ murals for the event. James painted all weekend long at the Red Bull Hub on the south side of the pier and had a blast taking in the whole California surf city vibe. Artist feature: ZES – Thinkspace Gallery, Palm Springs mural, LA Weekly and more

We wanted to give a huge shout out to LA fine artist, modern graffiti legend and good friend of the James Haunt crew, ZES who is currently featured on www.LAWeekly.com and has brand new artworks on display at the Thinkspace Gallery show “New Blood” which is on view through May 28 and curated by movie director/public activist Morgan Spurlock.

For those of you unfamiliar with the current LA art scene, ZES (MSK/Seventh Letter Crew) has been crushing game lately and turning new heads at every moment since recently making his highly anticipated cross over from ruling the LA graff scene for the past decade to scaling down his street driven abstractions to canvases, commissioned installations and smaller gallery sized works.

This past month James Haunt, ZES and the crew headed out to Palm Springs, CA to paint a large mural (30′x45′) on the side of renown art appraiser Kevin Stewart’s Gallery(pictured below). Everyone had a blast as ZES and James Haunt became the first street artists ever to knock out a large scale mural in the illustriously classic California desert city! …for more information, make sure to check out the photos and links below, enjoy!

James Haunt and Zes MSK Palm Springs Mural

James Haunt and Zes (Seventh Letter/MSK) had the opportunity to head out to Palm Springs last week to crush a large (30′ x 35′) mural on the side of acclaimed art appraiser, Kevin Stewart’s Gallery just in time for all you Coachella concert goers to enjoy on the way out!

Make sure to give a honk, stop by and take a couple pics and enjoy the fact that you’re almost to your final destination!

The Kevin Stewart Gallery is located at North Palm Canyon Dr. and Raquet Club Rd., just as you head into the Springs. …Please feel free to tag your photos on twitter to @jameshaunt or on instagram to (jameshaunt), at the end of the weekend we will select the best shot and hook up that person with a little James Haunt party pack. James Haunt at Grenade Games 8 (photo recap)

James Haunt and the crew had a blast this past weekend at Grenade Games 8 held at Bear Mountain. James knocked out a large (16′ x 8′) mural over the course of the weekend while live music played, snowboarders competed in a handful of crazy events and the crowd partied hard slope side takng it all in. Needless to say, the event was a huge success and everyone had a great time running into old friends, making new ones and enjoying the energetic atmosphere brought on by the buzz of the games!

We would like to send a big thank you to Danny Kass, The Dingo, JC and the whole Grenade crew that put this together, the rad folks at Bear Mountain for always takng care of us, to the all the other sponsors involved including Vestal watches, Skullcandy, GNU, Zumiez, Nike Snowboardng and to everyone that made it out and showed love! …We hope you enjoy the photos, see you next year!

LA Basketball is Back!
