The rad folks from The 5th Element Magazine (fashion/arts) stopped by a few weeks back to interview James in hopes of shedding a little light on the James Haunt clothing line, his past and current and future projects in the works.

James Haunt at Magic (recap)

We had a blast at the Magic trade show last week in Vegas. James Haunt knocked out a new painting, live at the JSLV booth on Tuesday and Wednesday of the show and had the chance to do a lot of site seeing, party hopping and attend a few rad events over the quick stay. Check out the photos and video below to see what went down!

Huge shout out to everyone that made it out and showed mad love, especially Jay and Preebz at JSLV, Manny Santiago, Felix, Randy Beers, Jason Fox and the whole Famous crew, Yelawolf, Lupe Fiasco and The Transplants for killin the live music, the crazy folks at Zumanity and the good people over at Lavo Nightclub.

New James Haunt retail space opening up this weekend (2/4) at Hold Up Art – DTLA

We wanted to invite everyone out this Saturday (2/4) to the grand opening of Hold Up Art’s new retail space and two year anniversary art show. The brand new retail area will feature 5 of LA’s most sought after artists collectives, including James Haunt, Cryptik, Grindhaus, Cyrcle and Hit and Run showcasing their own brands and style of original 1 offs and limited edition apparel, art and more in a very unique art gallery setting.

This is going to be a great opening and showcase, James and the crew have been working hard on this project and would love to have everyone come check out the finished product. Hold Up Art is in a great location just blocks east of downtown Los Angeles in Little Tokyo and has been a great supporter and contributor to LA’s growing street art scene for quite a while now. Make sure to tell the whole crew about this event and cruise out, drinks, giveaways and good times will definitely be in the mix. See you there!

Not too long ago James Haunt and JSLV teamed up to create “Lady Haunt”, a rad collaboration piece for the JSLV holiday 2011 catalog. Needless to say, it has been getting a ton of love lately and showing in up a few random places in the public eye. Check out the photo below of tattoo artist Billy Decola of New York Ink fame rockin the tee on a recent episode of the show as well as skating pro and industry mainstay Brandon Turner showing mad love on the most recent “Free Lunch” interview with him and Peter Smolik. The original version of “Lady Haunt” that James Haunt created can be found Downtown LA, painted as a 14′x12′ mural on the corner of 7th and Matteo. Enjoy.

James Haunt AGENDA (Jan 2012) Recap

The James Haunt crew had a blast showing at our first Agenda tradshow last week in Long Beach. At the show, we launched our brand new “Style Gangster” Collection which includes a ton of new graphic tees, hoodies and crew necks, New Era snap backs, beanies, belts and more. James also launched collaboration projects with the brands, JSLV and E.LEON at this show.

The whole event was a huge succsess for us and as always it was great running into old friends as well as linking up with a ton of new contacts. Major props to the whole Agenda crew for once again throwing a great show, we look foreward to the next one!
